 This is what's wrong with this country.

I hesitate to say and not to offend those that can separate these but it's the religious beliefs and the misunderstanding of those historical aspects that fundamentally cause this.

Religious beliefs are just the byproduct of our evolution as homosapiens on the African savanna.

You're free to believe what ever you want just as each and every other person can believe whatever they want. Or nothing at all.

The issues here stem from these people not accepting the scientific data and the observable facts of reality. Science is not religion and I'm sorry your beliefs are challenged by science. Maybe you should look into it and learn to understand things you don't. Instead of fighting and pretending. And creating echo chambers of dogmatic views that are violent by nature.

Whatever the outcome, the beliefs of deities and science of the world are completely different and separate. Believe what you want. But you will not force everyone to believe your particular Fable and henceforth try to change laws to reflect that.
