Had to type this out in a comment but posting it again as it's really annoying people don't understand what the word means.
There is no such thing as an agnostic.. The word is a descriptor that means to not "claim knowledge". So it's like saying ( I don't claim to know) but then what are you talking about? So agnostic means to not claim knowledge and on the flip side, the word gnostic means to claim knowledge.
So example ( i am gnostic on the belief that Santa doesn't exist) Meaning I know that he doesn't exist.) If I just said I am an agnostic without presenting a claim to what I am either agnostic or gnostic to then it's not a logical statement because there needs to be something that you are claiming knowledge about.
Now the word Atheism is should not be a word as we don't have words for things that we don't believe in we either accept them or not. For example, would you call yourself an Atooth failryist or and Asantaist. No.
But with our modern colloquial terms Atheism usually is referring to being an agnostic atheist ( meaning not accepting the claims of a god) Now you can also be a gnostic atheist meaning you
claim to know a god does not exist but that requires a burden of proof and most people don't take that route unless we are talking about a specific god or gods.
So You literally can not say that you are not religious or not an Atheist. As you either believe in some form of afterlife/religious belief or you don't. The default is being an agnostic atheist. As we are not claiming we are correct we just are saying we don't know and will not accept any claims until some form of proof can be submitted

Example: The chair in the room either is there or it is not there. There is no meta-choice that says it's neither of the two. If it's outside of this reality then it doesn't exist in this reality by definition does not exist. You have two options: either believe that the chair is there or not believe that the chair is there. If this chair was invisible and can not be tested. You would say you have no proof and would withhold believing in the chair until proof was presenting meaning you were agnostic about the said chair. This notion has nothing to do with anyone's other beliefs...
